This course is for basic to intermediate students. This course teaches students the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for personal defense outside of the home. Students will review safe firearms handling, proper mindset, pistol presentation from a holster and multiple close quarters shooting techniques. This course contains the essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation. This course will also review the Georgia Laws pertaining to use of deadly force in defense of yourself and others, laws regarding carry a firearm with a Georgia Concealed Weapons Permit, and state-to-state permit reciprocity. Students will also review malfunction clearing, emergency and tactical reloading skills and one-handed shooting.
